 “Welcome to the website of the National Campus Ministry Association! My name is David Jones, and I’m the current president of the NCMA. In addition, I’m now in my twelfth year serving as campus pastor of the Ecumenical Campus Ministry at Kansas State University.
The NCMA exists to build support for higher education ministries grounded in a Christian perspective and to provide effective resources for those called to served in such settings. The members of our organization gather annually for fellowship, inspiration and support for this important work. We come to this work from a fairly wide range of religious communities as we seek to reflect the many and blessed diversities of God’s Beloved Community.
The purpose of this recently re-designed website is to build a network of resources that will strengthen your ministry on college and university campuses. If there is some information or a resource you need and it’s not here, let us know. If you are aware of a resource that you think would help others and it’s not here, let us know that, too. Founded in 1964, the National Campus Ministry Association is an ecumenical organization of professionals, clergy and laity, engaged in the time-honored tradition of ministry in higher education.
We are committed to advocacy for higher education ministries and focused on promoting collegiality and commitment to ministry in higher education. NCMA provides help for personal and professional growth to those in campus ministry by:
- maintaining a network for mutual support and resourcing
- encouraging collegial support and dialog at the national and regional
- providing conferences, leadership training and resources
- coordinating a shared ministry with other organizations and offices that support higher education ministries.
