Coordinating Committee
A product of the Wesley Foundation at the University of Northern Iowa, Cody Nielsen is the director of the Wesley Foundation at the University of Minnesota. He recently was elected president-elect and will begin as president in September of 2012. His passion is t0 rebuild and revitalize the field of campus ministry across every denomination. Cody chaired the 2010 NCMA conference and has served on the Coordinating Committee of the NCMA since 2008.
I was a stay-at-home mom who has since had a 25 year association with higher education ministries with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., United Ministries in Higher Education, the Council for Higher Education Ministries, the Young Adult Ecumenical Forum and now, NCMA. I graduated from Queens College (now University) in Charlotte, NC in 2001 with a degree in Organizational Communication. I’m the mother of four, the grandmother of four and am looking forward to the wedding of my oldest granddaughter in September. I love to read, write, knit, swim and travel.
Rev. Consuella Foster Breaux, an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church, serves in dual appointment as Director of United Campus Ministry and Spiritual Life at Grambling State University as well as Minister of Higher Education at Trinity United Methodist Church. Rev. Breaux is the sponsor for one of the first HBCU United Methodist Women Collegiate Circles (Rebecca Circle), and the founder of Students With A Testimony Core Leadership Council in Campus Ministry. The organizer of GSU Young Collegiate Men of Integrity, a mentoring group for restorative justice in youth correction and social justice. Rev. Breaux has organized campus ministries for ther PUSA, Seventh Day Adventist Youth, Canterbury Club 2009, as well as a New Wesley Foundation at GSU in 2004. Rev. Breaux serves as Coordinator of NCMA People of Color for 2011
Paul served at the State University of New York in New Paltz as ecumenical campus pastor before retiring in 2007. Presently he is parttime pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Camp, New York ~ and is our current NCMA President. Paul is an avid swing dancer and also enjoys a variety of other dances (blues, cajun, zydeco). He’s worked with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans and attends their Jazz Festival. He sings
with the College’s Musical Theatre Ensemble and performed most recently in “Amahl and the Night
Visitors” as one of the three kings.
