When I first joined NCMA in the spring of 2005, I remember receiving a hard copy newsletter full of interesting stories and tips for how we practice ministry in higher education. It was helpful and I liked knowing that I wasn’t alone in these trenches. It felt good to see pictures of other mininstries, read about mission trips, and pick up a tip or two for Welcome Week.
But we were on the cusp of a digital revolution and soon the hard copy newsletter was a thing of the past.
While Kathleen Day, campus minister at United Christian Ministry at Northern Arizona University, gathers articles and sends out a News Brief several times a year, this space will be for highlighting and/or reviewing resources. Currently the plan is to post two times a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
But I* can’t keep this up without your help! Comment and discuss posts, offer suggestions, ideas, etc. Just discovered a cool website, read a great book, or used a fantastic curriculum? Let me know! I’ll take a look, review it and post it here.
Better yet, is there a writer living inside you, dying to burst out? Write a post! Review a resource, offer a meditation, process an encounter. Send it to nationalcampusministryassoc@gmail.com!
As well, are you a campus minister with a blog? Let us know and we will add it to our roll.
